Meet your new co-founder

Microsoft for Startups gives early-stage founders more than just a cloud; they provide a path to growth via personalized guidance, access to technology and global business connections.

Microsoft has been working on establishing new relationships with the startup community, launching “Microsoft for Startups”.

To help kick off this endeavor, we crafted the First Day Field Kits for the entering fall class at 500 Startups, one of the world’s top accelerators. Microsoft surprised the class with the field kits.

Each kit was packed with awesome gear selected specifically with startups in mind and the long days and nights facing them on their road to Demo Day.

Microsoft isn’t just providing tools; they want to be right there beside startups, from Day 1 and every day after. To follow through on that promise, each First Day Field Kit comes with a personal access card to give startup founders access to resources, one-on-one support, thought leadership, special invites to expert events and more. It’s the beginning of a great relationship.

Creating relationships in different ways means a different look and sound. Taking a left turn from the corporate style, we used tone-on-tone blacks and minimal pops of color to keep things sleek and simple, while humanizing the voice to ditch the tech jargon and get down to the real business of building a company.

Realistically, a lot of startups fail. But Microsoft believes no good idea should die due to lack of support. With Microsoft for Startups, the brand isn’t promising success, but they are promising support to help any startup thrive to the best of their ability.

The First Day Field Kit was only possible with our collaborators Lyft, Eat24, Timbuk2, and Starbucks. And of course, Microsoft for partnering with us at every step.
