Fitness and technology are still in a relatively young relationship. Tonal’s uphill battle was convincing people an intelligent home fitness system could feel more personal than a personal trainer, as well as get you personalized fitness results you were looking for. With a competitor soon to launch a similar but inferior product, Tonal needed to definitively own the market space before imitators flocked.

Tonal “meets you where you are.” This became the strategic reasoning for the creative outputs. We helped Tonal with its D2C digital and retail launch. This included a marketing website that used motion graphics to mimic the movements of the machine itself, with a sleek user interface that graphically relayed its data-driven fitness approach. We also produced a high-touch and high-tech interactive showroom experience, with a one-of-a-kind sales brochure that visitors could take home to see a life-size scale of the product in their homes.

Tonal’s tactic of meeting you where you are—in both the fitness and customer journey—worked. The product came out of the gate 300% ahead of its sales target. Tonal acquired an additional $45M in funding.
